Privacy, activity by activity

Your day, in one tap.
Seen only by who you choose.

“Gym” visible to everyone, “Therapy” just for you, “Beer” for two friends. Each activity decides who sees it — you choose once, when you create it.

The core idea

Visibility doesn't belong to the account.
It belongs to each activity.

Either you keep your log in an app where no one else is, or you post it where strangers read it. getdailyme sits in between, on purpose: each activity decides who sees it, and every entry inherits that decision.

Only you

Who sees it?

  • YouYou
  • NNuria
  • MMarc
  • LLucía
  • PPau
  • AAda

No one else. It shows up in no feed, counts toward no shared streak, and never leaves your account.

It doesn't depend on the app behaving.

Private data is discarded on the server, before it leaves. It's not that the app chooses not to show it: it never gets sent. Photos follow the same rule.

Profiles are private too: there's no directory and no name search — only the exact username, or your invite link.

Four screens. Not one more.

No hidden menus, no six-level settings. Everything fits in the bottom bar.

Today

A grid with one tile per activity, each with its progress for the day and its streak.

  • One tap logs it, however you configured each activity.
  • Press and hold for exact amounts, a note, a photo and when.
  • Everything can be undone, and you can log past dates.
  • When you hit every goal of the day, the screen celebrates.

What it does

Streaks, challenges, clubs.
No punishment, no exposure.

Streaks with grace days

Two per month, spent automatically: missing a Tuesday doesn't erase four months of work.

Shared streak

Days in a row where both people logged something. Motivation without likes.

Goals by day or by week

“Gym three times a week” counts as succeeding too. Goals adjust to how you live.

Group challenges

A name, a target and an end date. The leaderboard adds up totals — it never shows what anyone logged.

Clubs

A named group with an invite code — the family, the Thursday team — and a weekly ranking.

Four ways to log

Count, time, check off or note an amount: each activity as its nature asks.

Plus: it works offline, notifications know when to stay quiet, events come with a shared album, and your whole year fits in a heat map.

iPhone, Android and browser

The same account in all three places

Log from your phone at the gym and see it on your computer at home: same data, same privacy rules. The native apps add widgets, a lock-screen timer, and Apple Health and Health Connect.

The iPhone and Android apps are finished and in store review. The browser already works today — and when they ship, you sign in with the same account.

What people usually ask before joining

Do I have to install anything?

No need: it opens in the browser and just works. If you add it to your home screen it behaves like an app — its own icon, full screen and notifications — but that's your call. There are also native iPhone and Android apps, currently in store review; when they ship they'll be another way into the same thing, not another app.

Is it the same account on my phone and in the browser?

Same account, same data. You log from your phone at the gym and it shows up on your computer without doing anything. The privacy rules don't change from one place to another either, because the app doesn't apply them: the server does, before sending anything.

If I set an activity to private, does really no one see it?

No one. And not because the app chooses not to show it: private data is discarded on the server, before it's sent, so it never even leaves. Even if someone bypassed the app entirely, they wouldn't receive that data. Photos follow the same rule: they're only served if the activity they belong to is visible to whoever requests them. For those who want the detail: it's PostgreSQL Row Level Security, with automated tests checking that isolation on every change.

How do I add someone?

Two ways: search their exact username and send a request, or share your invite link — whoever opens it gets connected directly, no pending request, because sharing the link already counts as your consent. If the link gets out of hand, you rotate it and the old one stops working.

What happens if I don't log anything one day?

Nothing serious. You get two grace days per month that are spent automatically, so a missed day doesn't reset your streak to zero. Only the shared streak with another person is strict, because forgiving a day would mean inventing one that neither of you logged.

If I enter a private activity into a challenge or club, what does everyone see?

Only how much you've done: leaderboards show totals, never entries. A private activity can compete without ceasing to be private.

What if I want to leave?

There's a delete-account button that erases everything for real, photos included. No grace period where we keep your things around in case you come back.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. There are no ads and no data sales, so there's also no free tier that's the product and paid tier that's the favor.
